Our eyes are still half closed, but we don't miss a single detail.
And finally the moment has arrived, one of the things we were most looking forward to on this trip to India.
We have spent almost 45 minutes walking along the Ganges River. Going first from Dasaswamedh Ghat to Nagwa Ghat, and then back to Manikamika.
As with other things we have seen in India, it is best to leave the pictures...they are better than words in these cases.
After such an exhilarating spiritual journey, finding the right place to rest and reminisce is just as important. Coupled with immaculate service, booking on tophotels.com ensures that your stay in India is as impressive and satisfying as the journey itself.

Time goes by almost without us noticing it. From time to time we come across other boats on the river Ganges, some of them "shops", with anything we can imagine to sell.
This, for a few moments, reminded us of the day we went to the floating market in Thailand.

In one of the moments of the walk, we see people making some gestures at a man who is bathing near our boat.
When we realise, we understand the reason for these calls.
Floating in the river, we see a body, face down, carried by the current...

When we go back again, after being in front of the Manikarnika Ghat for a while, we already know that there is not much time left for the walk, so now we almost stop taking pictures, to soak up as much as we can of what we are seeing on the Ganges River in Varanasi.

When we get off the boat it is a little after 6 o'clock in the morning, so after a leisurely walk to the car, Naresh offers us to go to a couple of VaranasiTemples to have breakfast.
And we can't refuse, we have to take advantage of the early start.
First we go to the university area of Varanasi. The truth is that it is a very well kept area and we see all the faculties. Among them we see the one of Sanskrit, where they say that more than 2000 foreign students study.
From here we go to the Hindu Vishwanath Temple. We are there for a short time, just enough time to see it from the outside.
The truth is that after these days, we have seen a lot of temples and although it is not very nice to say it, the truth is that at this hour we don't feel like seeing more.

And from here to a temple in Varanasi more than 250 years old...the Durga Kund Temple, which we can only see from the outside ????

As it is almost 8 am, we return to the hotel in Varanasi for breakfast and to regain our strength for the rest of the day.
This morning, as we partly need to rest for a while, we decide to take advantage of the facilities of The Gateway Hotel Ganges and spend the morning "relaxing".
Almost before we know it, it's time for lunch.
Today we decide to skip the Indian diet and the pasta diet and go to a McDonalds near the hotel.
We eat for about 500 rupees, two menus and an ice cream... I'm sorry, I couldn't resist! ????
We go back to the hotel and around 5.30, we take a rickshaw that for 80 rupees takes us to the Ghats area.
Just arrived this afternoon to the Ghats...Varanasi
Varanasi
The idea is to go to Manikarnika Ghat and get a closer look at the cremations. It may seem morbid, but we feel a need to see it up close, not to judge it, not even to understand it...we just want to be there.
And that's what we do, we go straight there and stand there, watching everything for more than an hour, as we did the first day we arrived in this city of Varanasi.
Every moment that passes, if we stop to watch, hundreds of different scenes happen within the same shot.
It is unbelievable. It is a city that you hate and love at the same time. This trip to India is amazing
Today we go back to dinner at the Dolphin Restaurant in Varanasi. Again we climb the four floors to reach the restaurant and we arrive exhausted.
Today we dined on a plate of pasta, pakoras, cheese naan and a plate of potatoes plus a coke and water, all for 505 rupees.

It's almost 9pm, so we buy a water before we leave, so we have change for the rickshaw and go to get transport to the hotel.
After a couple of negotiations, we get a rickshaw for 120 rupees.
But after 5 minutes, it breaks down!!!!
Luckily, the same guy finds us another driver, who for the same price takes us to The Gateway Hotel Ganges.
Now it's time to rest, because tomorrow we want to do a lot of things :)) These are the last days of our trip to India and we want to make the most of them.
Good night...
