Beaches of Marche
The most beautiful and wildest beaches in Le Marche are those around Monte Conero, between Sirolo, Numana and Portonovo in the province of Ancona. In this corner of the coast, the green of the promontory meets the sea, creating an incredible landscape of sandy beaches and isolated coves.
Along this stretch of coast, protected by Mount Conero, there are marvellous coves, golden beaches surrounded by vegetation that can be reached by footpaths and sea caves.
Then there are the large and super-equipped beaches of Senigallia and Pesaro characterised by shallow waters: they are suitable for families with children. Here are the best ones for the summer.

Passetto Beach
The Passetto beach is a short walk from the city centre of Ancona, reached by descending the steps leading down to the fishermen's caves. Here you will find all the information you need to visit the Grotte del Passetto.
Due Sorelle Beach
A wild cove in the shadow of Mount Conero, it is the symbol of the Marche region and a place that can be reached by sea or via an impervious path along the mountain. It is best to reach it in the morning because you will not find any sun as early as 5 p.m.
San Michele Beach
Immediately after the beach of the two sisters, there is one of the largest beaches in Sirolo, the beach of San Michele, which can be reached on foot via a path from the Sirolo Park.
Sassi Neri beach
The northern end of the Sirolo beaches adjacent to San Michele is called Sassi Neri (Black Stones) and is formed by a very impressive rocky stretch. Nudism is practised on the wild and secluded beach.
Fiorenzuola di Focara
This is a small beach in the province of Pesaro-Urbino and can only be reached on foot along a pleasant path through nature.
San Bartolo Beach
A beach where the rocks fall sheer into the sea. San Bartolo is located within the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park in Gabicce.
La Vela Beach
La Vela is a small bay on the northern side of the Conero formed by pebbles and gravel. It is reached via a path that runs along the mountain.
Vallugola Beach
The water here is transparent and crystal clear and the beach is nestled between two promontories, Gabbice and Castel del Mezzo.
Portonovo Beach
The green scrub of the mountain is a counterpoint to the white pebbles of the sandy shore. Free stretches alternate with two well-equipped areas, full of small fish restaurants with terraces overlooking the sea and wonderful views.
Here is a selection of Numana's most beautiful beaches.
Conero beaches
The Monte Conero Riviera is one of the most distinctive of the entire Adriatic. Around Monte Conero there are caves and coves, sand and pebble beaches. At Portonovo there are the wildest beaches. Some of Conero's most beautiful coves, however, can only be reached by sea. Below is a selection of the most beautiful Conero beaches.
Portonovo
Portonovo has four beautiful beaches equipped with beach establishments and umbrellas. From the Molo beach it is possible to see the sunset over the sea, the only one on the Adriatic where, thanks to its position, you get this impression.
San Bartolo Beach
In the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park is San Bartolo beach in Gabicce, where the sea is clean and the stacks plunge into the clear blue water of the Park.
Mezzavalle Beach
Mezzavalle is an unspoilt, wild beach protected by the imposing Monte Conero that you can reach either by sea or by walking along a footpath. The beach is located at the end of the Portonovo beach and is completely free and without establishments, made up of sand, renella and rocks.
A gate at km 5.400 of the S.p del Conero indicates the entrance to the path along a cliff that leads to Mezzavalle beach. A second path can be found just before the Portonovo roundabout (this path is steeper than the previous one).
Beaches of the Riviera of the Palms
The Riviera delle Palme is the stretch of coastline in the Marches that runs from Cupra Marittima to the mouth of the Tronto river and passes through Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto. It is so called because of the numerous palm trees along the seafront. Which are the most beautiful beaches?
Grottammare
Grottammare is one of the most beautiful places on the Piceno Riviera of the Marche region, located in the southern part of the coast, in the province of Ascoli Piceno. The town's beach is characterised by an immense expanse of golden sand and is perfect for going to the beach with the little ones.
San Benedetto del Tronto
San Benedetto del Tronto is characterised by a six-kilometre seafront promenade with a long beach of fine white sand that slopes gently into the sea. The beach is bordered by a bicycle path that runs all the way to Cupra Marittima.
Cupra Marittina Beach
A sandy shore surrounded by a beautiful pine forest characterises the beach at Cupra Marittima, which has been awarded the blue flag several times.

White beaches in Le Marche
Along the Conero you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in the region, beaches that can be reached after a trekking route. Here you will find the most beautiful white beaches in the region, such as the spiaggia delle due Sorelle, located on the Sirolo side. It is the symbolic beach of the Conero, so called because of the two rocks rising from the sea and formed by white sand protected by the mountain.
Urbani Beach, on the other hand, consists of a white sandy shore that opens between a natural cavern and the rocks. Spiaggia la Vela, on the other hand, is characterised by white pebbles and gravel. It is so called because of the sail in front of it and is the last swimmable part of the northern side of the Conero.
Also deserving a mention is the Spiaggia dei Frati (Friars' Beach), which is located in upper Numana and is close to a cliff.
